Welcome to Forgotten Frippery!

We are Kim and Halie. A mother/daughter duo who adore beautiful and unique jewelry! We find inspiration in nature. The ocean provides a rich pallet of textures, where we collect sea glass, shells, stones and driftwood.  We use these found items, as well as natural gemstones, crystals and glass to bring to YOU a one-of-a-kind wearable art piece. We use only sterling silver wire , to hand-fashion each head pin and earring-wire, by hand; always with an eye for detail.

Searching out the treasures for our wearable art is one of our favorite past times. You can often find us looking through “bead soup” hoping to find an exciting new piece, or walking along the sand- eyes peeled for a glimpse of shining shell. Forgotten Frippery combines a boho/spiritual/seaside aesthetic; sourcing our vintage and reclaimed jewelry from estate sales, flea markets and thrift shops and giving our beautifully curated ‘findings’ new life by re-imagining and finishing our pieces with quality metals.

In our unique FINE SILVER collection, we use 99.9% silver and not a more common 92.5% sterling silver typically found in the market place. Many pieces are made using ‘Precious Metal Clay’ or ‘PMC’. This clay allows us to sculpt our piece, adding textures, patterns and even utilizing molds. After a drying process, we are able to further manipulate the clay; sanding and shaping it. The PMC can then be fired until all the clay binder is burned off leaving pure silver that is strong and durable. The piece is then polished to refine the finish and then tumbled to harden the silver. We use this 99.9% silver for all of our fine silver pendants and charms in order to provide you with the opportunity to own an art piece of the highest quality silver possible.
